Assignment, Resources & Rubric
1. Get together with the other people who are in the same color group.
2. Discuss what you've learned: limit your discussion to 5 minutes.

3. You'll be creating a commedia-type skit (5 min. at most) set in a high school. You need to have at least 5 characters and they all need to be stereotypes of people in today's society. The skit will be silent (all big, "body" humor - prat falls, tripping, silliness) except for sound effects and music. You need to perform this and you need to write up all the action that will happen.
4. Design the costumes (describe them if no one in the group is good at art/sketching) and the masks (for characters that wear them). Write up why you've chosen the designs you have - what stereotypes are you trying to bring attention to? (examples - use of make-up, always wearing shorts, suit/tie for principal/vice-principal)
5. Each group will video/film their scene.

Resources: Costume books in the library, magazines in the library, mask making books in the library on-line resources (must be listed in your write-up)
